Greetings Podo’s, Here’s a little something while I run off on vacation!!!!

Stay Blessed and please do leave a comment below letting me know how you are. I miss you guys.

I’ve set it so that I have to approve comments because I was getting way too many adverts and weird shit. So don’t worry about the comment not showing up when you press enter, I’ll approve them as soon as I get back.

Music wise, this one flows “soulful” but off course with deep organic sensibilities. Lyrically strong and no instrumentals, although I do give you that instrumental mashup in the transitions. I begin and end with Luka/Sio Blackwidow combinations… you’re welcome.

1. Luka feat Sio Blackwidow – Invite Me In (Original Mix)
2. Mi Casa feat Pascal Morais – The Power Is You (Enoo Napa Travellerz Remix)
3. Julian Gomez feat Sio – 1000 Memories (Atjazz Galaxy Aart Remix)
4. Marie Joly & Black Coffee – Gratitude feat Rebeca Murray (Pablo Fierro Remix)
5. Kid Fonque & D-Malice – Life Is Real feat. Ruby White (D-Malice Expression)
6. D.General feat Samantha Lake – Because I Love You (Original Mix)
7. Marcel Vogel – Moon Child (Soul Clap Remix)

9. N’Dinga Gaba & Jaidene Veda – Beautiful feat Josh Milan (Doug Gomez Merecumbe Soul Remix)
10. Oscar P, Marcus Pearson – Violet (Hallex M & Loic L Remix)

So this one I had crafted to record live at a BBQ here in “sunny” Florida a few weeks ago, but that didn’t happen because a storm was passing by and people panicked, and then there were three of us, so it didn’t happen! Nevertheless, the word was out that it was going to be recorded and I was being asked about it so on a rainy day last weekend, I got her done.

Continuing with the Latin flavors here... I cannot remember when the last Mojito was published but it has to be several years now. I had recorded a Brazilian affair a little while ago but don’t believe I published that, maybe I’ll put that up as a side distraction now that Rio is happening. Let me know what to do.

I’ve had this building for a minute but as always, I have too many “buckets” going on and can never seem to settle on a concept. I had to force this out as the Afro/Latin rhythms seem to be coming at us left right and center so the track list kept changing. I must admit that the plan was to go hard in the middle, but that changed with some key new releases so I had to remove the Luciano and Michel Cleis that were taking the center stage/peak.

You all know I love the drum, and I’ve really pushed it center stage here. As you might be able to imagine, blending such complex rhythms is difficult when both tracks come hard so I tried to focus on making the transition as interesting as possible without cluttering the sound. As you also know, I consider the transition/cross over to be a track in its own right so I particularly enjoy creating something in between that should be able to stand on its own. The cross-overs here are not too long but in some instances I was kind of forced to make them elaborate to allow the tracks to maintain their own identity and intent. I believe musicians construct their tracks deliberately so who am I to shortchange their sound eh? In some cases though, I was able to find a convenient loop half way through to chop.

Anyway, onward, track list:

1. Christian Vinci – Son Sol
2. Pepe Citarella, Isidro Infante & Luisito Quintero– Celia y Tito
3. Hector Lavoe – Aguanile RMX
4. Manoo, Alex Finkin, Louie Vega & Jose Mangual Jr. – Soy Latino RMX
5. Pablo Fierro & Justin Imperiale – La Libertad RMX
6. Pablo Fierro – Herencia Latino
7. Southern Groove – Sufre y Vive
8. Novalima - Beto Kele RMX
9. Buyepongo – Maestros RMX
10. Southern Groove & FNX – Candela RMX
11. Myles Bigelow & Toto Berriel – Los Ojos RMX
12. Nicodemus & Sammy Ayala – Conmigo RMX
13. Christina Vinci – Habana Vieja
14. Pablo Fierro – Solos Tu y Yo RMX
15. Ezel & Tamara Wellons – Girl From Ipanema RMX

REMIX CREDITS: Jose Marquez (3, 8, 9), Justin Imperiale (5, 14, 15), Hallex M (11, 12), Louie Vega (4), FNX (10).

So there you have it, something that should have come out at the beginning of summer, will instead extend your summer vibe.

Many thanks for stopping by and giving this a listen. Please take a second and let me know what you thought. And your thoughts for Belize please. We got hit hard.

Blessed LOVE.

Favorite track: Southern Groove – Sufre y Vive

Oh, and be warned, channel 2 was a little sticky and I had to mess with it a couple times, but decided to trod on.

Blessed Love from Florida on this wet, wet, WET evening. I could not imagine any thing better to do on a day when going outside could almost be considered dangerous. So I committed to finally getting this one done, especially since Hanna Hais re-tweeted my comment about including her new track in a mix!!! PRESSURE!!! Awesome track it is too. Would have loved to use the Rocco Bonus banger but opted for the Underground flavor instead. Rinse this out loud... with decent headphones please.

I do this one primarily for 3 people; Ochun Soy, Aeleen, and Edgardo.I have promised each a mix for years now but it was challenging compiling and getting this one right, not only in the track selection, but in the spiritual order of things as well. Thanks to Ochun Soy for the guidance and encouragement. I love this one... it feeds my appetite for the drum, and soothes my soul somehow. Very happy.

You will no doubt notice the adventurous cross overs. I had to in order to make this one work. But having said that, I do consider the cross over a track in its own right and I do enjoy them the most.

Once The Three have downloaded I will most likely delete. Unless of course if you all say you like it.

Lemme know.

UPDATE: This is a good example of why I usually listen to my mixes for a few days before I post... I was too excited that I actually got a second one done this year and posted too quickly... I made some stupid rookie mistakes... but I guess that's evidence that these are cut live, and not edited or fixed.

Greetings PodO's, another humble offering to the discerning Republic.

You already know the routine, I start out slow, build it up a little, then try to bring you back down gently.

This one peaks around the transition from the Casamena/Alex treatment of Tracy Braithwaite's Smile and Klevakeys/Diamond Dancers' Tribal Vibrations... hope you can feel it.

I went heavy on Manoo too, 4 tracks in all, solid tracks!!! Was going to do a Manoo cd, but kept using the tracks in other mixes so now that's added to the line up of in-progress mixes.

Anyway... bless me with your thoughts.

Track listing:

01 - Marie Tweek, Peter 'Gurner' Middlton - Beautiful You
02 - Luyo, Marica - Fire
03 - DJ Kemit, Eric Roberson - Fortune Teller
04 - Darque, N'dinga Gaba, Zano - Show Me
05 - David Anthony, Beverlei Brown - I Don't Know Why
06 - Lee Van Kleef - In The Wrong
07 - Manoo Feat. Natasha Watts - See The Light
08 - Tracy Brathwaite - Smile
09 - Klevakeys, Diamondancer - Tribal Vibrations
10 - Atjazz, OVEOUS - Soldiers
11 - Diephuis - Crossing Borders
12 - Djeff Afrozila - African Mermaid
13 - Steve Paradise - Zultan

Stay Blessed

Greetings Podo's, almost a year to the day, I give you my first humble offering for 2015. Dropped this one this morning in a friends studio, Respect John Skeng and Demus at Demawonda Studios for the good vibes.

Not going to get into it but I will say that I cannot get enough of the first track. From there it all goes according to plan for the most part. Do hope you enjoy.

It is good to be back.

Greetings all,

This one was pieced together on Thanksgiving morning, while waiting for the kids to wake up... capturing my mood that morning.

More importantly, and some of you may not like this, it also shows my progression to things techy. While I cannot see myself heading towards the hard tech stuff, I am appreciating that more metallic sound, especially when it's complimented by dark sultry vocals that actually mean something. While I started out playing mostly soulful house, deep house has been dominant in my sets now, and I kind like it.

This one contains most of the "techy" type producers that have been grabbing my attention with their masterful productions: Ripperton, the Innervision crewe, Beanfield, Stimming, Deetron. Missing from this set is a Deetron (Thinking)from his latest album, and I'm quite upset that I forgot to add that one in while mixing it... There will be follow ups to this one so no biggie really.

01 - The Howling, Ry, Ame - Shortline (Frank Wiedemann Remix)
02 - Nathan X and Cuebur - so far away (nomumbah remix)
03 - Georg Levin - falling masonry (stimming remix)
04 - Rami Deejay, Keely Timlin - Burn Burn (Vas Floyd Remix)
05 - Tevo Howard feat. Tracey Thorn - Without Me
06 - Rudimental - Spoons feat. MNEK & Syron (Original Mix)
07 - Beanfield Feat. Marzenka - Bring You Love (Original Mix)
08 - Beanfield Feat. Marzenka - Alone (Original Mix)
09 - Ripperton - At Peace (feat Christina Wheeler)
10 - Miguel migs feat. meshell ndegeocello - close your eyes (deetron remix)
11 - Stimming - gaensebluemchen (original mix)
12 - Noze - ethiopo
13 - Cid & Niota - Na Wuti Musika (Afriki Soul Mix)
14 - Rhythm & Sound With Tikiman - Music A Fe Rule (Part 1)
15 - Suges - do with you (acapella) b/w Music A Fe Rule

Not a favorites kinda guy as I've said before, but if I really have to rewind a track, it would have to be Ripperton's "At Peace"... LOVE that track.

Anyway, stay Blessed PodO's. Be well.

Please leave a comment letting me know what you think of the vibe...

Please also let me know if you have any suggestions for me to incorporate into my sets.... will do all I can do to accommodate.
